Job Market For Class Of 2011 Worst In Recent Memory

• The class of 2011 will be entering a labor market with the highest rates of unemployment in at least a generation; unemployment rates for both college graduates and non-graduates younger than 25 are nearly double their pre-recession levels.

• Since the start of the recession, the youth labor force (workers age 16 to 24) has contracted by 1.1 million workers.
• Since the start of the recession, an additional 1.2 million 16-24-year-olds have become disconnected from both formal schooling and work.
• Most young adults that come across hard economic times will fall through the large gaps in the public safety net.

Is American dream dead or alive?

Skeptic123:

I think we need to re-imagine the American Dream, because the current one is unsustainable and, most of all, dehumanizing. When did we become consumers and not citizens? When did being an American become based on one's ability to buy Walmart goods, cars, designer clothes and houses, instead of on one's ability to participate in his or her community and by extension his or her nation and world?

As Skeptic123 puts it, we live in a very contradictory era, during which we should re-direct all our habits, if we don't want to change the fate of the Job Market of 2011 and Internet Marketing can become one of the success factors for those who want to contribute to this change.
